It is imperative that we <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/seiav.es\/etias-approval-flowchart\/\">get familiar with the process<\/a><\/strong><\/em> and make sure we know who is required to apply before traveling.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">There are particular cases when an\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">ETIAS &#8211; SEIAV<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> may or may not be needed to cross the borders of the Schengen area. In this article, we address the majority of them:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>ETIAS REQUIRED:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Citizens of a country whose nationals are not required to have a visa for a short-term stay in any of the countries of the Schengen area.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Citizen of a visa-exempt country wanting to study in Europe for a maximum of 90 days.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">You do not have a residence permit\/card\/document issued by any\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">of the<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0European countries requiring ETIAS.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">You are not an EU national.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Citizen of a visa-exempt country wanting to work in Europe, maximum of 90 days.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Refugees with travel documents from a visa-exempt country.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Stateless persons with a travel document from a visa-exempt country.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ETIAS NOT REQUIRED:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Nationals of non-visa exempt countries.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">National of a European country requiring ETIAS.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">National of the UK beneficiary of the Withdrawal Agreement.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Stateless person, refugee, or person with no nationality of any country that already resides in any required ETIAS country.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Citizens of Andorra, San Marino, Monaco, The Holy Sea (Vatican City State), or Ireland.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A holder of a residence permit or residence card issued by ETIAS requiring country.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Holder of a Uniform Schengen visa.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Holder of national long-stay visa.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A member of the armed forces traveling on NATO or Partnership for Peace business.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A civilian air or sea crew member on duty. Crew or member of an emergency or rescue mission in the event of a disaster or an accident.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">British citizens who want to live in the EU\u00a0<\/span>don\u2019t need a visa<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0to stay in an EU country if their leisure or work is not more than\u00a0<\/span>90 days in a given 180-day period covered by the ETIAS authorization.<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Longer than\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">that<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">a visa will be needed<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Most EU countries have\u00a0<\/span>multiple visa types<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, and the conditions and procedures differ\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">for each<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. In some countries, it is necessary to be sponsored by an employer\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">to be able<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0to get the right to stay<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, while<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0others will allow you to have a temporary visa to find work.
