The machines that will collect our biometric data, such as fingerprints, facial recognition, and other data, are already waiting to be connected starting on October 12, 2025. Biometric technology speeds up the identification process, improving airport flow control and significantly reducing waiting times and long queues.<\/p>\n<p>The EES (Entry\/Exit System) will keep track of the date and place of entry and exit, always ensuring that basic rights are respected and private information is protected, thus eliminating the typical passport stamping upon arrival by the police.<\/p>\n<p>The EES will also play an important role in combating illegal immigration and protecting the safety of European citizens. This system will not only help people from countries outside the EU who comply with the rules to travel more easily, but will also make it easier to identify those who overstay their visas and cases of identity fraud. In addition, it will encourage the use of automatic border controls and self-service systems, which are faster and more convenient for travelers.<\/p>\n<p>The EES system is essential for the entry into force of the ETIAS form, which is expected to follow EES in 2026.
